Novum Hotel Ambassador - Hamburg

Cleanliness of the room impressed me. Spacious layout added comfort for downtime.

The reception experience left something to be desired. An awkward check-in moment occurred over a minor €2 charge. Details about my bill were elusive.

This hotel met expectation in every way, can recommend. We loved the central location and how tidy the place was kept. There were scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast. Twin room included a mini-bar, central heating, and a work desk.

The breakfast buffet offered a good variety, making each morning a good experience.

The check-in process was marred by a rude interaction regarding a minor charge, which could have been handled more professionally.

There are no locker in the inner door, therefore, anyone can use key to open the door when you stay there. It's not safety, especially, a woman live there by herself.

The breakfast was really good with a nice spread of fresh juice, bread, and decent coffee. Enjoyed how cozy the double room was, even if it was an older style. The staff at reception were super friendly and helped a lot with our needs. Location was super close to public transport, made getting around easy. It was a decent stay for a night.

But the room was a bit small and felt outdated. The check-in process took way too long because our room wasn't as booked, annoying.

Right on the s1 line that goes to the airport and downtown. Excellent connections with the subway line. The room was very well heated (which is a rarity for Germany) and even though it was facing a heavily trafficked street there was no noise inside.

There was no tub, only a shower cabin in the bathroom and, one day, despite having the "Do Not Distrub" sign up, the staff was busy banging a vacuum cleaner in all the rooms around mine.

The breakfast buffet had a great variety. The large rooms offered ample space to kick back and relax after a long day.

Noise from emergency vehicles was a real nuisance at night, disrupting sleep. The soundproofing left a lot to be desired, and some amenities felt a bit lacking-like the absence of coffee-making facilities in the rooms. Cleanliness in the bathrooms also seemed to need more attention, as I noticed some hygiene concerns .

the breakfast options are particularly nice with bacon.

Clean room, enjoyed the 24-hour bar. Front desk staff was a bit rude.

Good location for business as office is just opposite. Easy to fin from train station.

No internet connection in room and not many local amenities (shops/restaurants etc)

The hotel is situated on a street with a very active circulation. It is placed out of the centre of the town, but the connection is easy and the distance is not very big. The rooms are clean and comfortable. However the tv system is quite complicated and could be simplified.
